A tip for especially young ladies on how to run the last 400m in a 3000m/5000m race:
Keep something in the tank for the last 400m of a 3000m/5000m race. One needs to practice it in training e.g. if you’re doing 8 x 400m in a session, try and do 7 at a consistent pace and the last one must be as fast as you can and you are therefore training your body to do this in the race.
