Justine Palframan - Your Goal

Always start off by setting a realistic goal for yourself. During the season you should never allow yourself to become frustrated because you feel that you aren’t where you should be. Achieving what you set out for yourself takes time and patience. Stay relaxed and trust your coach, your program and in your abilities. Don’t allow anything to interfere with this goal, acknowledge what others have said to you but carry on with the plan that has been put in place.

You must surround yourself with a team that will assist you in achieving the goals that you have set yourself and who believe in you. Communicate your feelings honestly to your coach and listen to feedback with an open mind. You will learn who you can trust when times get tough. You shouldn’t waste time worrying about the things you can’t control. Injuries/ set back’s may occur, but you should keep your head up, stay positive and keep working smart. Assess your performance at the end of the season and keep on finding innovative ways to improve your performance.
