Junior George Kusche took a 4th place at last years senior SA’s and narrowly missed out on the World Junior Champs 800m final. But this season so far he has ran a new 1500m pb of 3:49 and opened up his 800m campaigne with a win at the Randburg Invitational 800m. His pb f 1:47.45 over 800m and devastating kick will make him a big contender for the win. Whilst in this race with him is Thapelo Madiba who as a junior athlete clocked 1:46.92 and ran a 2:24.60 at the very first installment of this race and 2:24.69 at the 2nd.


Kabelo Mohlosi ran a 1:46.45 last year in Potchefstroom which saw him going to the African Championships in Durban where he managed to go through and compete in the final. Last year he took 4th in this race with a 2:23.59 and will be looking to edge himself into the medal tally this time. Together with him in race 2 is Hannes Naude who has clocked a 1:47.74 also in Potchefstroom and actually has a 1000m best of 2:23.10.
