2020 CLASSIC SHOOT-OUT TAKES A TRIPLE LEAP WITH THE ADDITION OF 3 NEW SPONSORS

Pretoria – 29th January 2020: The Classic Shootout – one of the premier high school athletics events in the country – is proud to announce three new sponsors. Newton Sports Agency, Backtrack and Nike have all come on board to sponsor the unique event, which sees South Africa’s Olympic track stars competing in the same meeting as high school athletes.

EC Active, owners of the Classic Shootout was excited to welcome the new sponsors, saying “These sponsors are all industry leaders in their fields, and fit well with the ethos of the event which encourages young athletes to participate for the enjoyment of the competition itself, as well as aspire to achieve Olympic dreams. The 1st Classic Shootout takes place at TUKS Athletics Stadium on the 7th February and is hosted by H/S Waterkloof. Events on offer such as the 300m and 600m, which are not often run in-season, provide the perfect early season preparation and testing of form for athletes aiming to qualify for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games taking place at the end of July.
