Gerda Steyn became the first athlete to win the Two Oceans 56km ultra-marathon six times in Cape Town on Saturday, taking the women’s race in 3:29:10 after leading from the start.

The men’s race was won by Khoarahlane Seutloali of Lesotho, who crossed the finish line in 3:10:46 at the end of a tightly contested tactical battle.
